Vintage Solid 10k Gold Size 4.75 1950s Opal Cluster Ring / ca. 1950s
Vintage Mid-century 10k yellow gold prong set opal cluster ring. The ring centers an oval shaped opal with a halo of small round opals surrounding the center stone. The main opal measures 10mm x 7.8mm. The face of the ring measures 16.5 mm top to bottom. The opals have nice play of color that shimmers with movement.
The ring is in good condition for its age -- at least two of the opals surrounding the main stone have been replaced, but all are currently in good condition without chips or fractures. Please keep in mind that opals are very fragile stones, and this ring should not be worn as an everyday ring :-) .
