The sapphire was rescued from a gaudy vintage ring, and its current setting was created from recycled materials, including an old engagement ring shank. The bezel was custom made to fit the sapphire, and it was hand carved on the sides to show off the sapphire's side profile.
The shank is stamped 14k, and the bezel tests for 14k white gold.
