Antique Victorian Mourning Seed Pearl Ring in 14k Yellow Gold / Size 6 / ca. 1880s
A beautifully detailed Victorian mourning ring featuring faceted black glass crystal with gilded, etched flowers framing four natural seed pearls in box settings, creating a harmonious balance in its design. The shoulders of the ring are hand etched with a delicate scrolling leaf design.
The top of the ring measures 18.5 x 12.5 mm, and the shoulders are approx. 7.5 mm at their widest and 2.3 mm wide at the base.
The ring is a size 6 and can be sized. It is in great condition for its age, there are some areas of discoloration and tarnish (see photos), and a solder seam is visible on the bottom of the ring shank. Nothing very noticeable.
Circa 1880s
Stamped on the interior with a partial backwards 'B' maker hallmark along with a partial gold hallmark (just the 'K'). The ring tests for 14k gold.
