Antique Victorian Rose Cut Diamond Ring in 14k Yellow Gold / Size 9 / Engagement Ring / Brussels
Dreamy antique Victorian 14k yellow gold ring centering a mesmerizing rose cut diamond weighing approximately 0.80 - 0.90 carat (measuring 6.3 mm wide). The kaleidoscope-y diamond is secured with six prongs in a belcher setting with tapered grooves running down the shoulders of the polished ring shank.
The shank measures 6.1mm at the shoulders and 2.5 mm at the base.
It is a size 9 and can be sized. Please note that if the ring is sized down more than a size it will probably no longer fit in the holder in its original box (which is included). The box indicates that the ring is from M. Crevecoeur Jewelers in Brussels, Belgium at address 84, Rue de Brabant.
Stamped with unknown Belgian (or French?) hallmarks.
Tests for 14k gold
Circa 1860s
The ring is in excellent condition, without any noticeable imperfections. The prongs have recently been built back up to ensure the diamond is secure in the setting.
