Antique Victorian 8k Gold Glass Star & Moon Ring / Size 6.5
Antique Victorian (ca. 1890s) 8k rose gold ring showcasing an oval shaped glass plaque with a star and moon motif accented with a seed pearl and green enamel. The common Victorian motif revered celestial bodies and represented love and optimism. The frame features prong set turquoise glass and seed pearls orbiting the main design. The shoulders of the ring display classically styled Victorian foliate engraving.
The ring is in good condition though there are some imperfections. The glass rests a little bit crooked in the prong setting. There is some surface wear and areas of discoloration. There is a solder mark on the base of the ring (see photos). I would not recommend wearing this ring every day -- it is fragile and should be worn with care!
The face measures 19.5mm top to bottom x 13.5mm side to side. The shoulders taper from 7.8mm to 3mm at the base.
It is currently a size 6.25 and can be sized.
