Sold Out
For sale is this delicate and petite antique pansy pendant in three different shades of gold -- rose, yellow, and green. Green gold was often used to accentuate features in Victorian jewelry. It is made by adding silver and cadmium to the gold, and it made a brief appearance in jewelry history from the late 1800s to the early 1900s.
The pendant measures 7/8" (including the bail) by 1/2". It hangs from a 16" 14k yellow gold box chain.
Circa 1890s.
Not stamped but tests 14k
Please note: there are some black marks on the back of the pendant, most likely from where it was converted from a pin to a pendant.
Prop in photo not included.
